The Dentalfacelift is a procedure where all the teeth are lengthened. The amount of lengthening is determined by first using the Oralift device. This can be easier if patients have dentures but very invasive if people have their own teeth. The results of this procedure were published in the British Dental Journal. The conclusion of this paper was that people could look between 5-20 years younger with the Dentalfacelift treatment.
As you can see Wynne achieved a very good result and the procedure took about 3 months. The shape of the face, eyes, and lips have all improved. The ageing triangle has also been reversed. The Dentalfacelift pctures are usually very dramatic whereas the results of using Oralift can be dramatic, but tend to be more subtle.
Oralift evolved from the Dentalfacelift.
Sometimes black and white pictures can more easily illustrate the improvements. The shape of the face and the reversal of the ageing triangle are the most noticeable improvements.
Wynne came back after six years to have some new dental work. As you can see her face has aged from the time when she had the Dentalfacelift treatment, but it has not reverted back to its original state. The eyes still look bigger and do not droop as before, and the cheeks still look fuller. The ageing triangle is still better than it was before. It was explained to Wynne that we were now doing the Oralift procedure which did not involve doing any work to the teeth and the device is only worn for short periods, never at night and not every day. She decided to give Oralift a try.
Wynne used Oralift for 3 months and achieved a good result.
The jowls are less noticeable, the cheeks have lifted and even the neck looks better. The results are more subtle than the Dentalfacelift procedure but very significant as this non invasive procedure can now be done twice a year to slow down the ageing process on the face.
Wynne had experienced the dramatic results with the Dentalfacelift procedure and when she came back this time she felt Oralift had not worked for her. However when she was shown her before and after pictures, she was delighted.
This is the reason why it is so important to take standardised photographs. The changes are gradual and sometimes we do not think there are improvements until we see the pictures.
Again if we look at the black and white pictures the changes are more obvious. The shape of the face and the reversal of the ageing triangle can clearly be seen.
Hopefully Wynne will keep using Oralift for many more years. One question we need to research more is that if our own body is doing the work to make us look better, could it also be helping us with other age reported problems? Oralift users have reported a number of other health related benefits.
