Although Darcy did her onboarding on 22nd Dec 2021, she only started wearing the device regularly from 19th of Feb 2022. We are finding that Oralift treatment starts to work as soon as onboarding is done. According to the microtrauma theory, once microtrauma occurs the healing can continue for months afterwards.
Darcy has only been able to wear the 3mm device for at most 10 min a time . Increasing her time leads to signs of overuse. The most remarkable change is to the eyes, they have opened up and look so much more alert and lively. She says ‘I am loving Oralift’
As Darcy’s muscles become healthier, she will be able to increase her wear time but this can take months as she learns to control her parafunctional habits. Less at this stage is more for Darcy
